About Horizon Scanner

Horizon Scanner is a compliance platform for European financial institutions. We aggregate, classify and route regulatory publications from 45 EU/EEA supervisory sources — on the day they are published, with audit-ready documentation. This page describes who we are, how we work, and how to reach us.

As of:

01Who we are

Horizon Scanner is operated by Project Horizon GesbR, an Austrian civil-law partnership (Gesellschaft bürgerlichen Rechts) under §§ 1175 et seq. of the Austrian Civil Code, based in Vienna. The formal business address and partners are listed in the [Imprint](/en/impressum); partner names are disclosed on written request.

The founding team combines deep compliance expertise from European financial institutions with engineering experience on large-scale AI systems. Our editorial line is run internally under the byline "Horizon Scanner Editorial Team" — a collective author designation that combines sector expertise (insurance, crypto-asset service providers, AML-obliged entities) with supervisory-practice experience.

02What we publish

Our blog publishes both news analyses and methodology pillar pieces on a regular cadence. News analyses cover time-sensitive regulatory events — for example a fresh EUR-Lex publication day, an ESMA Q&A clarification, an EIOPA themed review, or a BaFin notice. Pillar content explains evergreen concepts such as horizon scanning, the definition of RegTech, or legal-methodology questions.

Every article cites its sources — direct link to EUR-Lex, ESMA, EBA, EIOPA, BaFin or comparable primary source. We do not publish lobbying material, sponsored content, or paid placements. Pure sales material is marked as such (product pages, pricing section, demo page — all under /product, /resources or /demo).

03How we work

Our editorial team works under the principles documented in our [editorial standards](/en/editorial-standards): source-grounded, primary-text-anchored, with four-eyes review before publication. Corrections are made transparently — see our [corrections policy](/en/corrections-policy).

The platform itself — the productive Horizon Scanner tool used by our customers — runs on EU-hosted infrastructure (Vercel Frankfurt region). All data is processed in the EU; a GDPR-compliant data-processing agreement with Vercel Inc. is in place (see [Privacy](/en/datenschutz)).

04How to reach us

Email: hello@horizon-scanner.com for general enquiries, correction notices or press. Demo requests via the form at [/demo](/en/demo). Postal address and § 5 ECG mandatory information in the [Imprint](/en/impressum).

We typically respond within two business days. For time-sensitive correction notices on a published article — e.g. because a cited date is wrong — we prioritise our response.
